Product Description
Material: Medical-grade titanium
Features
- Manufactured from high-grade titanium, ensuring strength, durability, and biocompatibility.
- Designed for femoral shaft fractures, with multiple holes (5 to 14) for flexible screw placement.
- Compatible with HA 4.5 mm screws and locking screws 5.0 mm for rigid fixation.
- Pre-contoured to match the natural shape of the femoral shaft, minimizing the need for intraoperative bending.
- Polished surface to reduce soft tissue irritation and enhance corrosion resistance.
- Radiolucent, allowing for clear post-operative imaging with X-ray or CT scans.
Indications
Intended Use
The Femoral Shaft Locking Plate II is intended for the fixation of fractures, nonunions, and malunions of the femoral shaft. It provides rigid stabilization during the healing process, particularly in cases requiring open reduction internal fixation (ORIF).
Indications
- Femoral shaft fractures
- Comminuted fractures of the femur
- Nonunions and malunions of the femur
- Osteotomies of the femoral shaft
- Post-traumatic deformities of the femoral shaft
Contraindications
Contraindications
- Active infection or inflammation at the surgical site
- Severe osteoporosis or inadequate bone quality
- Known allergies to titanium or implant materials
- Insufficient bone support for screw fixation
- Skeletally immature patients
